A Special Note: Kids Share Workshops Program with Partners of the Americas would not be possible without the generous support of Corporate Coffee Sponsors and Partners of the Americas, Sister Schools. A Special Thanks to Lorena Frias, President of Sister Schools and Teacher  in Costa Rica and her dedicated team of teacher volunteers. Lorena put endless hours in coordinating Kristina’s program schedule, home stays and transportation. Many wonderful volunteers through Sister Schools opened their schools, homes and transported Kristina in order for Kids Share Workshops to reach their schools. Kids Share Workshops with Partners of the Americas, Sister Schools would not have been possible without Lorena’s vision and dedication to bridging the Americas through the creative arts and education.

A Special Thanks to Green Mountain Coffee Roaster’s; Winston Rost (Farmer Relations Manager) for supporting Kristina (program director) travel and accommodations to Costa Rica and Workshop supplies for five schools and communities including two of GMCR coffee purchasing communities! We had a wonderful and successful 2012 program  with children living in the coffee communities of  Doka, La Hilda and San Ramon/ Naranjo with GMCR employees during their 2012 trip to Costa Rica. All of this was possible because of Winston Rost, Farmer Relations Manager at GMCR and the volunteer help of the GMCR employee team.

A Special Thanks to Larry at L. Brown & Sons Printing in Barre, Vermont for giving a very large discount on artist prints Kristina will be bringing to share and give in Costa Rica!

2011 Volunteer Training & Site Investigation

Kristina Applegate Lutes, Founder & Program Director; was granted all travel expenses paid to train volunteer teachers in Portland, Oregon and a site investigation in Costa Rica, through Partners of the Americas, for an upcoming 2012 Kids Share: Costa Rica & Oregon Workshop.

Kids Share Workshops and Kristina could not continue with a strong cross-cultural workshop, without the support of organizations like Partners of the Americas.

“It is an honor to be working with a 40 year volunteer organization, who values the importance of kids sharing lives in the Americas! I am very grateful for this wonderful opportunity to work with dedicated and generous volunteers and look forward to a successful Costa Rica & Oregon Workshop!” – Kristina Applegate Lutes
